BETHEL TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – A mobile home in Bethel Township suffered heavy damage last night.
Crews responded to the 500 block of Kosmerick Road, just before 9:00p.m. to find exterior flames showing from both sides of the residence.
According to Bronson Fire Chief Scott Wilbur it’s believed an electrical short caused the fire that kept his department on the scene for around two and a half hours.
He says the home had no working smoke detectors and the occupants had no insurance. Damage was listed at $10,000 for both property and contents. There were no reported injuries.
Bronson Fire was assisted at the scene by Lakeland Fire Department, Coldwater Fire Department, and Lifecare Ambulance.
