COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The City of Coldwater announced Friday the hiring of Kristen Johnson as the new Downtown Development Authority/Main Street Director.
In this role, city officials say Johnson will continue the downtown revitalization and community development alongside staff, board members, and volunteers, “all of whom are committed to supporting and promoting the vitality of the downtown Coldwater area.”
Johnson says “I am excited about the opportunity to work with the team in Coldwater. Their passion and vision for the downtown are evident through the many projects they have already undertaken to make the district vibrant and unique.”
Johnson comes to Coldwater after serving in a variety of leadership roles in Kendallville, Indiana, including her most recent role as the Main Street Director for Historic Downtown Kendallville.
City Manager Keith Baker said, “We look forward to her vision and expertise in this position to help build an even stronger, more vibrant downtown community for local businesses and residents alike.”
Johnson will begin her position with the City Monday October 27, 2025.
