PORTAGE, MI (WTVB) – In girls high school swimming and diving, Coldwater finished eighth out of 10 teams at their first SMAC Conference meet Friday and Saturday. Coldwater had 12 swimmers qualify for Saturday’s finals.

Mia Rzepka- 1 Meter Dive, 200 Free Relay, 400 Free Relay
Paige Kirkpatrick- 200 Medley Relay, 200 Free Relay
Masyn Marsh- 200 Free Relay, 400 Free Relay
Gaia Ballardini- 200 Medley Relay, 200 Free Relay
Alexis Lock- 200 Medley Relay, 400 Free Relay

Jayda Kelly won the 50 Freestyle and made all conference in the SMAC. She also finished sixth in the 100 Breaststroke. Jillian Mckinley finished eighth in the 200 Individual Medley. Rebekka Lund finished 11th in the 100 Backstroke and 14th in the 100 Freestyle. Mia Rzepka finished 13th in the one Meter Dive. Kordelia Ulrich finished 14th in the 500 Freestyle and 17th in the 200 Freestyle.
Also the relay team of Jillian McKinley, Kordelia Ulrich, Rebekka Lund, and Jayda Kelly qualified for the championship final finishing 6th in the 400 Free relay.
This year the Cardinals have seven girls that qualified for championship meets. Mia Rzepka and Masyn Marsh qualified for Dive Regionals this Thursday where they can qualify for state. Jayda Kelly qualified for state in the 50 and 100 Freestyle, 100 Backstroke and 100 Breaststroke. Jillian McKinley qualified for state in the 100 Butterfly and 100 Freestyle.
The relay team of Rebekka Lund, Jayda Kelly, Jillian McKinley, and Paige Kirkpatrick qualified for state in the 200 Medley Relay and the relay team of Jillian McKinley, Kordelia Ulrich, Rebekka Lund, and Jayda Kelly qualified for state in the 400 Freestyle relay.
