COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The City of Zeeland, Michigan has thanked Coldwater Board of Public Utilities crews for their efforts to restore power after the Zeeland area was impacted by strong straight line winds on September 20.
CBPU Director Paul Jakubczak said during Wednesday’s Board of Directors meeting that six wooden poles were snapped by the strong winds.
The power went out for 774 customers at the peak of the event.
The CBPU crew was dispatched to Zeeland as part of the Michigan
Municipal Electric Association Mutual Aid program.
