KINDERHOOK, MI (WTVB) – A police chase which started near Angola, Indiana ended on I-69 in Branch County late Tuesday night with the arrest of a 19-year-old male from Lansing.
Angola Police says one of their officers clocked a speeding northbound vehicle going 85 miles an hour at about 10:45 p.m.
Police say they tried to make a traffic stop on the vehicle. It slowed down, pulled to the right and a couple of baggies containing a large quantity of Xanax were thrown out of the passenger side window before the vehicle speeded up again.
The chase came to an end just over the state line after the suspect drove over stop sticks put down by the Indiana State Police on I-69 near the Indiana Toll Road.
Quinten Wesley Watson was arrested on multiple warrants by the Michigan State Police. Three other suspects in the vehicle were released.
