BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – A familiar scene unfolded Thursday night at the Bronson High School gym, as the Vikings claimed another MHSAA Division 3 Girls Volleyball District championship by sweeping Galesburg-Augusta in straight sets, 25-17, 25-18, 25-18.
Aleah Brackett had a game-high 12 kills, 2 block, 6 digs, and 9 assists. Hermosa Gonzalez added 4 kills, 4 service aces, and 8 digs.Itzel Albarran dished out 8 assists, and Roni Bir led the defense with 10 digs.
Bronson, an honorable mention in the last Michigan Interscholastic Volleyball Coaches Association poll of the season, will take a 28-17-6 record to the Division 3 Centreville Regional, where they will face Constantine in the second Regional Semifinal contest next Tuesday at 7 p.m. The Falcons defeated White Pigeon 25-23, 25-23, 25-12 Thursday in the Constantine District Final.
