Betty D. “Betty Boop” Sump, 61, of Coldwater passed away Saturday, November 8, 2025 at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo.
Cremation has taken place. There will be a memorial service Friday, November 14, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Dutcher Funeral Home.
There will be a gathering of family and friends held prior from 12:30-1:00 p.m.
Betty was born September 3, 1964 to Thomas M. and Judith A. (White) Sump, Sr. in Lansing, MI. She attended Pine Ridge Bible Church and was very proud to be a member of Tommy’s House.
Betty enjoyed many things including crocheting, watching movies, and reading, especially People Magazine. She truly loved the Lord and taking care of others every chance, she was able. Nothing meant more to her than her friends and family.
Betty was extremely organized, supportive of others, and had such a funny character. She will be missed by so many.
Betty is survived by her parents Thomas and Judy Sump Sr; her children Shawna Fancher; Andrew Jackson; Teresa (Clayton) Burkeen; her siblings Karla Sump; Kathy Sump; Lisa Sump; Lester Sump; and many other loving friends and family members.
Betty is preceded in death by her grandparents and her brother Thomas Sump Jr.
