The Kellogg Community College (KCC) Foundation has awarded a total of $27,500 to 35 students through the Coldwater Township Sunrise Rotary Promise Scholarship for the 2025-26 academic year. The scholarship supports students residing in Branch County or graduating from a Branch County high school or home school, with individual awards ranging from $500 to $2,000 based on need. Historically aiding students in allied health or trades, the scholarship now also includes those pursuing associate degrees in mental or behavioral health fields.

Michelle Williamson, executive director of the KCC Foundation, stated that the scholarships represent an investment in the promise and potential of students, particularly those pursuing careers that strengthen the region’s well-being.
Since 2019, the program has awarded over 200 scholarships totaling nearly $150,000, primarily supporting non-traditional students and featuring an endowment fund exceeding $500,000 as of early 2024.
