COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Girls high school volleyball district action gets underway across the state tonight. Coldwater will host this area’s Division One tournament.
The Lady Cardinals will host Sturgis tonight at 6:00 p.m. Live coverage of the match on AM 1590 and FM 95.5 WTVB begins at 5:45 p.m. The winner of tonight’s match will face Richland Gull Lake Wednesday.
Union City will be hosting a Division Three district which gets underway tonight with a match between Vermontville-Maple Valley and Galesburg-Augusta. The winner plays Bronson Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m.. Union City will play Delton-Kellogg in the first semifinal Wednesday at 5:30 p.m..
Quincy will play in the Division Three district tournament at Concord. The Orioles will face either Hanover-Horton or Concord Wednesday at 5:30 p.m..
As the Bronson Vikings girls volleyball team gets ready to try and win a fourth straight state championship, they are ranked second once again in Division Three in the final Michigan Interscholastic Volleyball Coaches Association poll of the season.
The Vikings will take a record of 51-6-2 into the state tournament.
Battle Creek Lakeview is in the Division One District tournament that is being hosted by Coldwater. The Spartans earned an honorable mention in Division One. Centreville was ranked ninth in Division Three while Mendon was ranked second and Camden-Frontier was third in Division Four.
