The new page includes filters to find programs tailored for specific groups like veterans and seniors, a feature developed in collaboration with customers to improve usability and simplify enrollment.
Customers can find details on programs such as the State Emergency Relief (SER), offering up to $900 in one-time aid for eligible residents with past-due bills, and the Home Heating Credit (HHC), which provides an average of $250 through a state tax form.
For structured support, the Michigan Energy Assistance Program (MEAP) includes the CARE program with fixed monthly payments and balance forgiveness; residents can contact a local MEAP agency via 2-1-1 or mi211.org.
