COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A young woman who is accused of leading police on a high speed chase through two counties appeared through a video arraignment in Branch County District Court late Thursday afternoon.
Additional charges could be filed against 19-year-old Alexandria Stolte of Coldwater who was formally charged Thursday with larceny of a building, fourth degree fleeing from a police officer and financial transaction device-stealing/retaining without consent.
She was also booked on a Coldwater Police warrant for failure to appear.
Stolte was arraigned near closing time at the Branch County Courthouse. Due to the complicated nature of the events which took place Wednesday, it took all day for authorities to put a case file together. Her bond is $130,000 and Stolte remains lodged at the Branch County Jail.
Stolte was taken into custody in Sturgis early Wednesday afternoon following a 40 minute chase ,which started in Coldwater and involved several police agencies.
Speeds during the pursuit were reported to be over 100 miles an hour.
