COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) Coldwater police have announced traffic restrictions for today around the Branch Area Food Pantry during their annual Holiday Box Distribution today.
The distribution is today from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and is expected to draw around 1200 residence to pick up the boxes of food for the holidays.
To manage the anticipated traffic flow around the pantry, several streets will be temporarily blocked. Access to Pierson Street from Williams, Henry, Taylor, Harrison, and West Chicago Street will be restricted during the pickup hours. There will be one dedicated, single-file traffic route for those collecting their holiday boxes All traffic for the food pantry must flow southbound on Pierson Street, beginning at Waterman Avenue.
Vehicles will turn into the north entrance of the pantry parking lot, where volunteers will distribute the food boxes.
After receiving their items, vehicles must exit via the south side of the parking lot and make a mandatory left-hand turn onto southbound Pierson Street.
Traffic will then continue to West Chicago Street.
