COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Coldwater hosted Parma Western Thursday at Midway Lanes.
The varsity girls won their meet 24-6, winning both regular games 810-577 and 706-595, taking totals 1516-1172. Splitting the Baker games, losing game one 120-114, winning the second game 141-82 and taking totals 255-202. The girls were led by Kylie Cook with a 214 and a 170, and Grace Tuttle with a 166 game.
Western did not field a girls JV team, but had 2 boys JV bowlers, so the Coldwater JV girls competed against the boys and lost 26-4.
The Varsity boys dropped their meet 21-9, losing both regular games 921-758 and 843-820 and totals 1764-1578. They split their Baker games, losing game one 169-120, winning game two 200-127 and taking totals 320-296. The Varsity boys were led by Dominic Tackett with a 213, Aiden Butters a 193 and Zach Robison a 181.
The JV boys faced the second Western JV boys team and won 19-11.
The Varsity bowlers have a busy weekend ahead, with a Scotch Doubles tournament hosted by Marshall Saturday at University Lanes in Albion and the Wildcat Invitational Sunday in Three Rivers.
BRONSON, MI – Bronson earned a clean sweep of Kalamazoo Christian Thursday at the Bronson Strike Zone. The Vikings won the boys match 30-0 and the girls match 25-5. They will take part in the Trojan Baker Bash on Sunday, hosted by Sturgis at the Bronson Strike Zone.
