COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coach Eby Youth and Family Center in Coldwater will open its doors as an emergency warming shelter this weekend for anyone without adequate heat, as below zero wind chills are being forecast for Saturday and Sunday night.
The center, located at 89 West Chicago Street, is offering a warm, safe place for anyone needing shelter from the cold.
The temporary shelter will have specific hours of operation for the weekend:
– Saturday Night: 8:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. Sunday morning.
– Sunday Night: 8:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. Monday morning.
Services being provided include cots, blankets, and meals for those utilizing the shelter’s services. While use has been described as “sparsely used but needed” in previous cold spells, the center is prepared to assist anyone seeking warmth.
