COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Legg Middle School Polar Bear girls swim team earned an 82–49 victory over Battle Creek Central in their first home swim meet of the season. The Boys fought hard throughout the meet but ultimately came up short.
The girls opened with a win in the 200 Medley Relay, as Mila Santamaria, Avery Longstreet, Emerson Wright, and Aubrey Eberts took first place. Aubrey Eberts followed with victories in the 200 Freestyle and 50 Butterfly.
In the 100 Individual Medley, Emerson Wright placed first while Avery Longstreet finished second. The Polar Bears also captured first in the 200 Freestyle Relay behind Avery Longstreet, Sara Martinez Hernandez, Emerson Wright, and Aubrey Eberts. Leah Senyk closed the meet with a first-place finish in the 100 Backstroke.
Despite battling throughout the meet, the boys fell short against Battle Creek Central. The Cardinals were led by Griffin Lanning, who finished fourth in the 50 Freestyle and second in the 100 Freestyle, while Jonah Weber added points with a third-place finish in the 50 Freestyle and a first-place swim in the 100 Breaststroke.
