COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Coldwater High School qualified for the MHSAA Division Two Girls Golf State Finals Thursday as they finished second in the Regional Tournament they hosted at the Coldwater Golf Course.
St. Joseph won the meet which was played in cold and windy conditions with a score of 368. Coldwater was second with a 373 while Sturgis was third and got the final transfer spot to the state finals with a 382.
Coldwater’s Claire Sheppard was second in the individual standings with a round of 87. Kelly Warner was seventh with a 92. Jayla Goodwin fired a 96, Taylor Musselman carded a 98 and Molly Smith shot a 99
Calley Rooker of St. Joseph was the medalist with an 80.
With its second place finish, Coldwater advances to the MHSAA Division Two State Finals which will be held next Friday and Saturday at Michigan State University’s Forest Akers West Golf Course.
