COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A Bronson man is facing several charges after allegedly breaking into a home, setting it on fire and then stealing a truck back in September.
21-year-old Dallas Michael Gump faces felony charges of second-degree arson, second-degree home invasion, and unlawful driving away of a motor vehicle.
These charges follow a September 26, 2025, incident involving a mobile home fire, burglary, and a stolen vehicle on Hollow Road.
Court documents indicate the fire was intentionally set after the residence was entered and items, including a home security system, were taken, and the homeowner’s red truck was stolen.
Dallas Gump was later found in Kentucky driving the stolen vehicle, with the missing security system inside.
Gump was extradited back to Branch County from Kentucky.
Judge Brent Weigel set his bond at $100,000. A Probable Cause Hearing will take place December 23rd and Preliminary Exam for December 30th.
