COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Branch County Sheriff’s Office has announced the hiring of two new deputies, Hunter Munson and Matthew Greene.
Both Munson and Greene graduated from the Kellogg Community College Police Academy earlier this week where they had been in training since July.
Deputy Hunter Munson is a lifelong resident of Coldwater and a graduate of Coldwater High School. He also attended the Branch County Career Center, where he studied Criminal Justice. Deputy Munson has been employed with the Branch County
Sheriff’s Office since 2023, serving in the Corrections Division prior to attending the police academy.
Deputy Matthew Greene grew up in Burr Oak, where he continues to reside. He is a graduate of Burr Oak High School. Greene previously worked in agriculture before pursuing a career in law enforcement and attending the police academy.
Both deputies will begin the 17-week Field Training Program and have been assigned to the Road Patrol Division.
