CAMDEN TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – Several people were injured, including two seriously, after a pickup truck struck an Amish buggy in Hillsdale County’s Camden Township Sunday afternoon.
The Hillsdale County Sheriff’s Office says the truck driven by 31-year-old Jarret Wolford of Montgomery was southbound on Mead Road. north of West Territorial Road, when his vehicle struck a southbound Amish buggy that was occupied by 32-year-old Henry Graber and 31-year-old Katheryn Graber, as well as five juveniles.
Henry Graber was transported by ProMedica Air Ambulance to Michigan Medicine for treatment of injuries sustained.
One of the juvenile occupants was air lifted by Life Flight of Wauseon, Ohio to Motts Children’s Hospital in Flint for treatment of injuries sustained in the crash.
Another juvenile occupant of the buggy was transported by the Reading Emergency Unit to Hillsdale Hospital for treatment of injuries sustained in the crash.
Deputies were assisted at the crash scene by the Michigan State Police, the Montgomery Fire Department, the Camden Fire Department, Steuben County (IN) EMS and the Reading Emergency Unit.
The crash remains under investigation by the Hillsdale County Sheriff’s Office.
