Carol Edwards Adams, 84, of Union City passed away Saturday, December 20, 2025, at Bronson Battle Creek Hospital.
In keeping with Carol’s wishes, she will be cremated and a memorial service will take place at 11:00 a.m.. Saturday, February 7, 2026 at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 405 St. Joseph Street, Union City, MI with Pastor Peter Burfeind officiating.
Private interment will be held at Riverside Cemetery in Union City.
The family is being served by Lighthouse Funeral & Cremation in Union City.
Carol was born August 23, 1941 to Homer and Mabel (Vorce) Edwards in Coldwater, Michigan. She graduated from Union City High School with the Class of 1959. She received an associate’s degree in nursing from Kellogg Community College. Carol worked at High Point Regional Hospital in High Point, North Carolina for 30 years, and then the Laurels of Coldwater for two years, before retiring in 2005.
She enjoyed senior bingo, senior classes and exercising, spending time with her family, and taking care of her rescue dogs. Carol was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Union City where she volunteered at the church food pantry.
Surviving are her children Philip Kleehammer and Janene (Roger) Leftwich; her three grandchildren; her two great-grandchildren; her sister Mary Ellen Childress; and her many nieces and nephews.
Carol was preceded in death by her husband Toby Adams; her parents; her sisters Frances Johnson and Charlotte Garnsey; and her brothers, George Edwards, Don Edwards, Richard Edwards, and Homer “Junior” Edwards.
