BATTLE CREEK, MI (WTVB) – Two months later than originally scheduled, the M.H.S.A.A. Girls Volleyball tournament concluded on Saturday at Kellogg Arena in Battle Creek.
After defeating Bronson last Tuesday in the quarterfinals, Monroe St. Mary Catholic Central defeated Schoolcraft 25-19, 25-16, 25-8 to win the Division Three state championship.
Battle Creek St. Philip won the Division Four title in the most dramatic match of the day as they defeated Auburn Hills Oakland Christian three games to two by scores of 25-8, 25-15, 22-25, 22-25, 17-15.
The other state champions were Bloomfield Hills Marian in Division One and Grand Rapids Christian in Division Two.
