COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Coldwater’s final home game of the season ended in a 35-13 loss to Parma Western on Friday night as the Panthers earned their sixth victory of the season to qualify for the post season. The game marked the end of Purple Week at Coldwater High School as all of the fall sports teams got involved in the fight against cancer. It was also Senior Night for the Cardinals but the Panthers won for the second straight year at Cardinal Field. Parma quarterback Tyler Pape had a big night as he ran for four touchdowns and passed for another. Bo Branham’s four yard touchdown for Coldwater with 25 seconds left in the first quarter tied the game at 7-7. A pair of second quarter TD’s for the Panthers gave them a 21-7 lead at the half. But Pape’s fourth TD of the night with just over seven minutes to play closed out the scoring. Coldwater drops to 2-4 in the Interstate 8 and 2-5 overall.
