ANGOLA, IN (WTVB) – A 45-year-old rural Angola man was arrested Wednesday morning following a year-long narcotics investigation by the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office.
Lantz Bandford Brown was taken into custody without incident around 10:30 a.m. at a residence in the 1700 block of West CR 120 N in Pleasant Township. The arrest was executed by the Sheriff’s Office Special Response Tactical Team and the Auburn Police Emergency Response Tactical Team on an active warrant charging Brown with two counts of level 2 felony dealing methamphetamine.
Following the initial arrest, investigators developed additional probable cause to search the residence, where they reportedly discovered a firearm with a damaged serial number. Brown was booked into the Steuben County Jail on multiple preliminary charges, including dealing and possession of methamphetamine, possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon, and obstruction of justice.
He is currently being held on a $118,000 bond as the investigation continues.
