COLDWATER , MI (WTVB) – The Main Street Program is pleased to announce the return of its annual Love Local event, a community celebration highlighting downtown businesses, Valentine’s Day festivities, and of course the Best of Bowls Soup and Chili Cook-Off.
The event will take place on Saturday, January 31, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in downtown Coldwater.
Love Local invites residents and visitors to explore downtown while enjoying free
activities, delicious food, and festive entertainment. A featured attraction of the event
will be the soup and chili cook-off, with tasting stations hosted by local restaurants and
organizations.
Attendees will be able to sample a wide variety of soups and chilies—from classic comfort favorites to creative, one-of-a-kind recipes and cast their votes to help determine this year’s fan favorite, the coveted “Best of Bowls” award.
In addition to tastings, the event will offer live music at Museum Gallery by Russell
Gates and special in-store promotions from downtown businesses.
All participants who cast a vote will be entered into a drawing for a Love Local gift
basket.
Tastings will be free and open to the public.
The Main Street Program invites the community to come hungry, bring friends, and celebrate all things local at this year’s Love Local event.
