BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – The City of Bronson has announced crews will be flushing fire hydrants on October 15th and 16th as part of regular routine water main cleaning.
The flushing will begin at 12:01 a.m. Monday morning October 15 north of U.S. 12 and at 12:01 a.m. on Tuesday October 16 south of U.S. 12..
The City apologizes for any inconveniences the flushing may cause.
The water may temporarily have a reddish/orange rusty appearance during the flushing because it can disturb iron sediment in the water pipes and cause the discoloration. If this takes place, you’re asked to run your cold water at the tap closest to your water meter for several minutes to clear your lines.
The City also advises the public to refrain from doing laundry during the two days the flushing will be taking place.
