KALAMAZOO, MI (WTVB) – A State of Michigan Attorney Discipline Board hearing involving Branch County Prosecutor Ralph Kimble has been delayed for a couple of months.
Grievance Administrator Alan Gershel says the hearing, which was originally scheduled to begin Tuesday, has been pushed back to December 4-6, 2018 after the board last week granted a motion filed several weeks ago by Kimball to adjourn.
Whenever the hearing gets underway in Kalamazoo, the board is scheduled to consider seven allegations of misconduct, which include sexual harassment that were filed in a 14 page report against Kimble.
During a pre-trial hearing July 24, 2018, Kimble told the three person panel that he plans to call 10 witnesses, including Judges Bill O’Grady, David Coyle and Brent Weigle, as well as Assistant Prosecutors Scott Smith and Valerie White.
As a licensed attorney in Michigan, Kimble is subject to the jurisdiction of the Supreme Court and the Attorney Discipline Board.
Kimble has denied the allegations made against him by several female courthouse employees. Some of the alleged incidents in the report were described in graphic detail.
