COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – It was a swing and a miss by weather forecasters on Wednesday, What began as a chance of snow with less then a half inch of accumulation turned into 2-3 inches in some areas with a stiff wind often causing a reduction in visibility.
Roads around Branch County quickly became snow covered and slick leading to several accidents fortunately no series injuries have been reported. As for the morning commute roads do remain slick especially the side roads, you will also find slick spots on the main roads including the interstates as you head into work this morning.
Areas closer to lake Michigan have been dealing with heavy lake effect snow, The Niles area in picked up 16 inches on Wednesday, several other areas around the lake and along the Indiana boarder were also reporting over a foot of snow making travel difficult.
