Robert R. McDonald, 98, of Coldwater, passed away Saturday January 17, 2025 at Maple Lawn Medical Care Facility in Coldwater.
In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. Burial will take place at a later date at Oak Grove Cemetery in Coldwater.
All arrangements are being cared for by Dutcher Funeral Home.
He was born February 28, 1927 to Homer and Cora (Glass) McDonald. Bob married Betty Patterson from Middlesboro, Kentucky September 16, 1950.
Bob lived in Bronson all his life and retired from Bronson Specialties in 1991 after 33 years. He was a member of the Lockwood Community Church. Bob devoted himself to caring for his special needs sons Maynard and Mark, often taking them on car rides. In later years, Bob and Betty enjoyed traveling to Tennessee, Kentucky, Florida, and upper Michigan with his friends.
Bob is survived by his sons David (Debie) McDonald, Dean (Linda) McDonald, Edward (Betty) McDonald; grandchildren Micah McDonald, and Hannah Hoag, and his wife Betty.
Preceding Bob in death were his parents, his sons Maynard and Mark, his twin sister Leoma Aldrich, his brothers Anthony McDonald, Leonard McDonald, John McDonald, his sister Marjorie Lutz.
