Born December 1, 1928 in Melvindale, Michigan, Bud lived a life defined by strength, pride, and quiet elegance.
A devoted husband to the late Betty Lucille Karbon for 71 years, Bud’s life was anchored in love for his family, service to his country, and dedication to his community. He is survived by his sons Jim (Patsy) and Tom (Diane) Karbon, his daughter in law Jan Karbon, his sister Joan Czich, eight grandchildren, and fourteen great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Betty, and his son, Michael.
Bud served honorably in the U.S. Army from 1950-1953, staying in the reserves until 1958, then enjoyed a distinguished 42 year career as an engineer with Ford Motor Company.
A loyal member of the American Legion in Allen Park, he contributed as Post Commander and bingo caller, and he proudly guided local youth as a Boy Scout Leader.
Outside of work and service, Bud was an avid hunter and fisherman. He found joy in visits from great grandchildren, reading, playing cards, and spending peaceful days at his cabin at Canada Creek Ranch.
