PARMA, MI (WTVB) – In boys high school soccer, Coldwater stayed tied for third place in the Interstate 8 Conference with a 1-1 tie at Parma Western Thursday night. Parma scored just 90 seconds into the game, but the Cardinals answered with an Angel Rodriguez goal six minutes later, assisted by Erik Corona.
The game featured an hour long lightening delay at the beginning of the second half.
Balal Nasser made five saves in goal, as Coldwater outshot Parma 13-8.
The Cardinals are now 7-5-2 and 2-1-1 in the conference. They will host Battle Creek Lakeview Monday in non-conference action.
The Coldwater JV team lost at Parma Western 3-0.
