COLDWATER. MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Legg Middle School girls basketball teams were swept by Marshall Monday night.
8th grade team lost 56-5. Scorers for Coldwater were Harper Kokinis, Kassidee Cole, and Natalie Esterline. Brooklyn Powell led the team in steals and was a rebounding leader. Kassidee Cole and Mary Frances Perocho each had a block.
The 7th grade A team lost 37-22 to Marshall.
Leading the Lady Cards was Karagen Bucklin with 10 points, 5 rebounds, one assist, and one blocked shot. Carly VanAken had 7 points, 3 rebounds, and 4 assists, Brooke Barle scored 2 points with 4 rebounds, and one blocked shot, Hayden Riley scored 2 points and Isabella Vanderpyl had one point, 5 rebounds and one assist.
The 7th grade B team fell to Marshall 22-20.
Jordi Wilson led the team with 14 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 steals, Ava Galliers had 2 steals and 2 rebounds, Lylah Sanford had 3 steals and 2 rebounds, Lily Raymond had 3 rebounds, Leann Bonds had 5 steals, and Evelyn McRea had 6 points, 7 rebounds, 5 steals, and 2 assists.
The 7th grade teams will host Northwest Wednesday beginning at 4:00 p.m.
