COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Community Schools Board of Education took final action Monday night to put a 1.5 mill, $64 million bond proposal on the May 5 ballot.
The proposal would fund significant renovations and upgrades to Coldwater High School.
The board approved a resolution during a special meeting after the district got approval from the State Treasury Department on the language for the proposals.
School Board President Dr. Ed Lake read a part of the resolution.
Superintendent Paul Flynn said this was the final action the board needed to take.
The special meeting was held Monday because the district needed to submit the resolution to the Branch County Clerk’s Office by Tuesday to make the May 5, 2026 ballot.
Multiple bond proposals to renovate the high school have failed in recent years, including a $53 million request in 2022.
