COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) -The Coldwater Country Conference and Visitors Bureau has announced that Stephanie Burdick will take over as Executive Director following the retirement of Debra Prater, who led the organization for 25 years.
Burdick, a Coldwater native, brings more than two decades of experience in marketing and operations, most recently serving as the Community Engagement Coordinator for the City of Coldwater and the Coldwater Board of Public Utilities.
Her professional background also includes a tenure as Operations Director at Tibbits Opera House and experience as a small business owner, providing her with a comprehensive understanding of the region’s tourism and economic landscape.
Burdick is set to officially begin her new role on April 6, with Prater remaining on-board in an advisory capacity to ensure a seamless leadership transition.

During her long tenure, Prater was instrumental in expanding funding and brand development for the nonprofit destination marketing organization, which supports local businesses across Branch County, including the communities of Colon and Allen.
Burdick, an active member of numerous local civic organizations, will now oversee the bureau’s mission of driving visitor growth and supporting the regional hospitality industry through hotel assessment tax funding.
