BRONSON TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – An injured woman who was struck by a tree limb Saturday in Branch County’s Bronson Township had to be flown from the scene by helicopter.
The Bronson Fire Department was dispatched to Taggart Road near Holmes Road just after 12 noon Saturday.
Bronson Fire Chief Scott Wilber says a firefighter’s personal four-wheel drive truck was damaged while bringing the patient about 300 yards out of the woods over rough terrain.
The Burr Oak Fire Department was called in to set up a landing zone for the AirCare helicopter.
Michigan State Police and Lifecare Ambulance also responded.
Rescue crews were on the scene for about an hour.
The name of the injured woman was not released and her condition is now known.
