COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The City of Coldwater has announced the return of the Match on Main grant program, a state-funded initiative designed to support new and expanding businesses in the downtown district.
Starting March 1, 2026, eligible business owners can apply for up to $25,000 in reimbursement-based funding to assist with growth and investment. Part of a broader effort by the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC), the program requires a 10% match commitment from recipients and focuses on strengthening the vibrancy and resilience of Michigan’s local commercial centers.
Interested business owners in Downtown Coldwater are encouraged to begin preparing their materials ahead of the April 20 deadline.
Detailed worksheets and eligibility guidelines are currently available on the MiPlace website, and local staff from the Downtown Development Authority/Main Street are available to provide guidance throughout the application process.
Additional information regarding local timelines and submission requirements will be released in the coming weeks, but inquiries can be directed to the city via phone at 517-279-9501
