COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The State of Michigan has set a record for students who graduate high school in four years. That rate is now just over 84%, a rise of 1.2% from the rate for 2023-2024.
Michigan’s five-year graduation rate increased by nearly a full percent to 85.8%. State officials say expanded career and technical education, duel enrollment and early intervention programs all played roles in the graduation improvement.

Performance across Branch County schools varied, with Quincy High School reporting a four year average 91.09% while Coldwater Community Schools had a four year graduation rate of 90.87%.
Other area schools showed a range of results. Bronson High School reported a 83.12% graduation rate, Union City reported the highest four year graduation rate in Branch County at 93.75%.
All schools reported even higher numbers when based over a five year period.
