COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The City of Coldwater has announced the return of the Match on Main grant program, a state-funded initiative designed to support new and expanding small businesses within the downtown district. Starting Sunday March, 1, eligible local entrepreneurs can apply for up to $25,000 in reimbursement-based funding to cover various business expenses.
Administered through the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC), the program requires awardees to provide a 10% match funding commitment to foster long-term investment and growth within the community.
The application window remains open until April 20, and business owners are encouraged to begin preparing their materials immediately using resources found at MiPlace.org https://www.miplace.org/small-business/match-on-main/. To assist with the process, the Downtown Development Authority (DDA) and Main Street staff are available to provide guidance on eligibility and submission requirements.
Interested parties can contact the city at 517-279-9501 or via email at kjohnson@coldwater.org for further information as additional local timeline details are released in the coming weeks.
