COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The storms that went through Branch County on Labor Day did more than just mess up holiday barbeque plans.
Nearly 500 Consumers Energy customers lost power at about 2:45 p.m..
Most of the those affected were expected to get their power back by early evening.
The outages were mostly west of Morrison, North and Randall Lakes stretching all the way to North Batavia Road.
Quincy firefighters had to handle several reports of wires down, trees across roadways and flooding.
Residents are being urged stay clear of down trees unless they were sure it was cleared of wires. They were also told to assume any downed wires were live. Drivers were told to be cautious until trees were removed from the roadways.
