PENNFIELD TOWNSHIP, (WTVB) – A domestic dispute in Pennfield Township on Monday, escalated into a shooting that left one person with non-life-threatening injuries.
Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office deputies responding to the 200 block of E. Coolidge Avenue at 1:45 p.m. secured the scene, where the victim was transported to Bronson Kalamazoo for treatment.
Investigators subsequently executed a search warrant, recovering the firearm used in the incident, and took a suspect into custody on charges of domestic assault and felony firearm offenses. T
he suspect, whose name is withheld pending arraignment, is currently lodged at the Calhoun County Jail as the investigation continues.
