COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The City of Coldwater officially announced Friday that Audrey Tappenden has been hired as the City’s new Economic Development Assistant.
Tappenden will assist City Manager Keith Baker and Economic Development Specialist and Branch County Economic Growth Alliance Executive Director Lisa Miller.
Tappenden has ties to the area. She graduated from Coldwater High School in 2013 and from Grand Valley State University in 2016.
Tappenden spent a year with AmeriCorps in Fairbanks, Alaska, and has most recently worked for the Coldwater Area Chamber of Commerce.
Baker said during this week’s Downtown Development Authority Board meeting that the city will focus its Economic Development efforts towards the recruitment, retention and the revitalization of downtown.
