Robert “Paul” Lane, 85, passed away peacefully into the arms of his Heavenly Father, at home, surrounded by family and his beloved dog, Ginger, Wednesday, February 25 in Punta Gorda, Florida.
Per Paul‘s wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be a celebration of life at a later date.
He was born May 13, 1940 at home, in Bronson Michigan, to Robert and Hilda (Hoard) Lane.
He married the love of his life, Marcia (Butters) Lane on June 22, 1963, and she survives.
Paul graduated from Colon High School, Class of 1958. He was employed by Harter’s Manufacturing in Sturgis, as well as many other sales ventures.
Paul enjoyed fishing, hunting, mushrooming, snowmobiling, traveling and most of all, spending time with family.
He will be remembered for his kind spirit and sense of humor.
Survivors include his wife of almost 63 years, Marcia Lane; two sons, Rob (Kim) Lane and Troy (Dawn) Lane; four grandchildren, Jaden (Jessica) Harman, Joel ( Tarrah) Harman, Joshua (Lexi) Kosmerick and Jennifer Lane; and nine great-grandchildren; siblings Barbara Embler and Harold (Kate) Lane and many loving nieces and nephews.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, siblings Marilyn Lane and Marlin Lane.
Memorial contributions may be made to Bethel Gilead Church of Bronson.
