ADRIAN, MI (WTVB) – In the Lenawee County murder trial of Dale Warner, jury deliberations have been postponed until Tuesday morning after a juror was unable to attend Friday due to a medical issue.
Judge Michael Olsaver announced Friday that three of the four alternate jurors have been recalled to court for potential selection as a replacement.
The new juror will be selected via a drawing, provided they have not been exposed to news coverage or social media discussions regarding the case since being dismissed earlier this week.
The trial, which has spanned several weeks, follows the 2021 disappearance of Dee Warner, whose remains were discovered in August 2024 welded inside a fertilizer tank on the couple’s property. Closing arguments concluded Thursday, with prosecutors alleging Dale Warner killed his wife to maintain control amid marital strife.
The defense has argued a lack of premeditation and direct evidence.
Deliberations will officially restart from the beginning once the new juror is seated next week.
