COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The high winds have been the cause of multiple scattered power outages today, the Consumers Energy outage numbers have fluctuated throughout the day as the energy company had crews stationed on standby to tackle the anticipated potential outages caused by winds that have at times gusted over 45 mph.
Consumers says most of the outages have been caused by downed tree limbs taking out power lines, they say the scattered nature of the outages has allowed their crews to have quick response.
At it’s peak this morning Branch County had around 700 Consumers customers in the dark.
