COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Three men were lodged at the Branch County Jail overnight on fleeing and eluding charges.
Coldwater Director of Police and Fire Services Mark Bartell says the three were driving a motorcycle, a moped and a motorized bike when they did not stop for a stop sign at Riverside Drive and Butters Avenue.
A Coldwater Police officer gave chase but had to break it off when the three suspects took a trail behind the Sauk River Apartments.
The driver of the motorized bike was later involved in a minor injury accident on U.S. 12 near Northshore. He then provided police with information on the other two who were later taken into custody.
Michigan State Police assisted Coldwater City Police during the investigation.
