COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Branch Intermediate School District Board of Education Wednesday formally approved the hiring of Raymond Wheaton as the new principal at the Branch Area Careers Center. They also approved 2018-2019 contracts for Wheaton and Career and Technical Education Director Randy Sowles.
Among the other hirings approved by the board were Susan Sobeske as Career Development Consultant for the C.T.E. Department.
Wheaton has 31 years of educational experience, including 27 at the Branch Area Careers Center. He graduated from the BACC Electrical Technologies program. In 1987 Wheaton was hired as a paraprofessional in Electrical Tech and over the years has worked in many different areas at the BACC and St Joseph County Intermediate School District.
