ANGOLA, IN (WTVB) -An Auburn, Indiana man has been arrested in Steuben County and charged with multiple felonies, including Level 1 and Level 3 rape, following a 911 call from a residence on Regency Court.
According to court records, 30-year-old Fred J. Holst of Auburn, was allegedly involved in a domestic dispute where a nearly 10-minute 911 recording captured the entire incident.
In addition to the rape charges, Holst faces counts of felony intimidation, domestic battery, and resisting law enforcement.
During the arrest, court records that Holst initially refused to leave a bedroom and claimed the encounter was consensual, asserting that the police had no right to be on the premises.
Following his capture, he reportedly made antagonistic comments to officers while being transported to the Steuben County Jail. The case, which is being handled in Steuben Superior Court.
According to jail record Holst has posted bond and is no longer incarcerated.
