COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The ProMedica School Tele-health Program is opening up a new clinic this fall at Legg Middle School thanks to a Health Resources and Services Administration grant.
The program now has the most participants it has ever had with 1,800 students enrolled across three school districts.
The clinic at Legg Middle School will be known as Cardinal Connect, Junior.
The grant will allow medical care to be expanded.
However, it is said there is a significant need for behavioral health services in the middle school as well.
All proceeds from the September 15, 2018 Hospital Gala will be used towards the addition of a social worker to the clinic and the expansion of health education to middle school students.
