TECUMSEH, MI (WTVB) – In girls high school golf, Coldwater finished second out of 11 teams on Monday at the Tecumseh Invitational. South Lyon won the event and Coldwater finished with a 391 on the day.
Coldwater was led by Jayla Goodwin with an 89 which was good enough for fourth place. Claire Sheppard finished in 11th place with a 97, Kelly Warner shot a 101, Elloree Madden had a 104 and Molly Smith rounded out the scoring with a 112.
Coldwater is scheduled to open Interstate 8 Conference play Tuesday with a jamboree at Marshall.
In boys soccer, Quincy improved to 2-0 on the season with a 4-1 non-conference win at Pebbfield Monday. Axel Beltran scored three goals, while Alex Pickell got the other Quincy goal. Goalkeeper Andrew Abright made 12 saves.
The Orioles play again Thursday at Grass Lake.
