PORTAGE, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater High School boys varsity soccer team came away with a tie and a loss Saturday at the Justin Bailey Memorial Shootout at the Portage Soccer Complex.
The Cardinals opened the day falling to Portage Northern 2-0, despite outshooting the Huskies 12-8. Balal Nasser made four saves in goal.
Coldwater and Plainwell played to a 0-0 draw in the second game. The Cardinals outshot Plainwell in that game 11-0, but couldn’t come up with a goal. Their record is now 1-1-1 on the season. Theu will host Kalamazoo Central Tuesday .
The Coldwater JV team fell to Portage Northern 5-0 and to Plainwell 2-0 Saturday.
