COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A Coldwater man was ordered to serve 10 to 15 years in the Michigan Department of Corrections on Monday in Branch County Circuit Court after entering a no contest plea to a charge of forced third degree criminal sexual conduct.
34-year-old Byron Butters was arrested by Coldwater Police in May 2018 following an incident with a female acquaintance.
Butters was also ordered to register as a Michigan Sex Offender and he can not have any contact with victim. He also can not go to the victims home or her place of employment.
Butters was given credit for 91 days already served in jail.
